Alpha Chis are always looking for ways to "seek the heights" year round, and many times their incredible feats go unnoticed. This summer, we want to highlight some of the incredible accomplishments of our sisters on the blog-

Meet our sister, Shelby Starratt. This shining star is the co-director of Camp Kesem at UGA, an organization that puts on a free summer camp for the children of cancer patients. She has served on the spirit committee for our chapter's philanthropy, Relay for Life, and this summer, she's taking her efforts to stop the fight against cancer even further working as an intern for a global foundation that provides support for people affected by cancer.

What is your name + where are you from?- My name is Shelby Starratt and I am from Manhattan Beach, CA.

What's your major?- Marketing

Describe your summer job/internship?- I have a summer internship with LiveSTRONG in Austin, Texas. I am the Grants Management Intern so I research different foundations that can provide various programs within LiveSTRONG with grants.

Why Alpha Chi?- Being from California, I was scared that I would be different than some people at UGA, but everyone in Alpha Chi accepted that and made me feel special. Alpha Chi is my home away from home and these girls are my best friends and family.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?- My dream would be to backpack through Europe after I graduate and hopefully bring some of Alpha Chis along with me!
